The birth of a Praetor

I love the game Magic: The Gathering. One of my favorite blocks was the scars of Morrodin set, with the Phyrexian cards. The idea of a planet made of metal, and creatures that could be infected and twisted by a sinister all consuming black oil was very fascinating.
What you see here is how I imagine Elesh Norn, the grand Cenobite, perhaps shortly after being indoctrinated by the glistening oil of Phyrexia.  With her skin transforming into what later becomes armored layers, she has yet to shed her old face and take on that grand crest she sports later. I might make another image, of her as a complete human priestess, just as she is introduced to the infectious black oil.

Ok, so I got my back story wrong. Apparently, Elesh Norn was created as a pure phyrexian, and was not converted from the humanesque populous of morrodin. Just consider this as artistic interpretation. to me, it would have been more interesting if she had been converted, as apposed to being grown in a vat. It's not that important, as the pic was just a few hours of effort on my part. If it entertains anyone, it's done more than I anticipated. Thanks for looking.
